Liz - Director
Liz - Director: Liz is a lover of all things awesome: adventures, music, nature, and bikes. She is a professional musician and can be seen directing choirs, teaching K-5 music, coaching fitness classes, and playing keys/singing in her bands. Liz holds a BA in music business and vocal performance, and an MAE in Vocal Music Education.
Kathy - Collaborative Pianist
Kathy - Collaborative Pianist: Kathy Henson was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, her love of music writing manifested itself at an early age. With the guidance of her music teachers she entered into the State Composition Competition at age 16, where she won second place with her original piano composition "Edge of Silence." Throughout the years she has accompanied many singers and choirs and has played everywhere from local bars to convention concerts and lots of stuff in between. Today you will still find her behind the piano, as a composer, accompanist, vocal coach, choral & musical theater director for several local groups and ensembles in the Twin Cities area.

Sopranos

Deb - Soprano
Deb - Soprano: Deb Pitton has a been a music lover all her life. She sang in high school and college choirs, as well as community choirs in other states. She’s acted and sang in community theater musicals and enjoys sharing the joy of song. A retired college professor, she is happy to find time to add singing back into her life.
Krys - Soprano
Krys – soprano: Music has always been an important part of my life. I have been singing since I was in elementary school and have been a member of a choir since I was 8 years old. I was a singer at Luther College in the Cathedral and Collegiate choirs. Before joining NOTEable singers I sang with The Northwestern Singers in Austin and the St. Peter Choral Society. I am also a teacher of English Language Learners and enjoy reading and attending Minnesota Twins games.
Lisa - Soprano
Julie - Soprano: I have been singing and performing since I was itty bitty. I play the piano, guitar, accordion, ukelele, and recently started playing the tenor pan with the Pan-Handlers Steel drum band. During the day, I am a piano teacher and Music Therapist for children with disabilities. I have been singing on our church's worship team for over 20 years, but haven't been involved in a choir since college, so I am very excited to bring that back into my life! In my free time I enjoy reading, exercising, putzing in my garden & spending time with my husband and young adult children.
Debbie - Soprano
Debbie - Soprano: This is my second year with the NOTEable Singers. After raising 7 children over many decades and enjoying their fine arts, I decided to join some of them for myself! Here I am memorizing, singing, and dancing all at the same time! I want to thank the NOTEable Singers for all their help and patience. Big shout out to my husband and children for all the love and support!
Theresa - Soprano
Theresa - Soprano: I enjoy collaborating with such a hard working and talented group of women. I grew up in Bloomington and have enjoyed singing my whole life. I sing with our contemporary worship team, and assist in directing the children’s Praise Club at my church. I can often be found supporting my kids and husband at their various endeavors. I love dogs and the beauty and struggles of life. My motto to strive for is “work hard and be kind”
Megan - Soprano
Megan - Soprano: There are many characters in my life story. I am a: daughter, granddaughter, sister, teacher (3rd grade Spanish Immersion) dancer, singer, church volunteer, friend, and so much more. My favorite role is being Auntie Megan to 5 beautiful kiddos! There are many things that I love to do. Wish there was enough time to do all of them! Skiing, reading, laughing, traveling, photography, dancing, singing, playing piano, watching movies, playing games. Music has always been a big part of my life! From dancing around the kitchen while mom was quizzing me on my spelling words, learning to play the piano, listening to my grandpa Al play the concertina, dad playing the oldies on the radio, grandpa Allan teaching me new songs to sing, making up silly songs with my mom and sister, and all my years in school choirs. I don't think I could ever give it up. To many wonderful memories when it comes to music in my life!
Becky - Soprano
Becky - Soprano: This is my fifth year back with NOTEable singers after a hiatus of about 10 years to sing in the Harmonic Relief show choir with my wonderful husband Brady; and prior to that I was with this group for about 9 years! I have always performed; whether in musical theatre, bands, show choir or TV. I work at Optum currently as a Sr. Administrative Assistant for Legal. I am a big Sci Fi and Super Hero Geek and my fav hero is Wonder Woman. I LOVE the MN State Fair and a big fan of the MN Ren Fest enough to go to both many times each year (I cannot get enough!). I also love to cook and watch any food/cooking related shows I can find. I have a spoiled and loving cat Kalea and my favorite people to be with are my family and those I consider to be family!
Lisa - Soprano
Lisa - soprano: I come from a family of enthusiastic car-ioke singers (our volume sometimes exceeds our talent). My kids are in college now, so they no longer have to die of embarrassment as I sing to the music playing in Home Depot. (I may have enjoyed chasing them around the store a little too much, as they pretended not to know me.) Singing makes me feel happy--I leave every practice and performance with a big smile on my face!
Kris - Soprano
Kris – Soprano: I'm from Bloomington, graduated from the U of M, BA in Child Psychology and played drums in the U of M band. I later became the first female patrol officer in Edina (about a 100 years ago), retired and I am now Pilates instructor and teach Driver Improvement to senior citizens. I love theater-especially musicals and I've been on the Board of Directors for Eden Prairie Players community theater for 12 years. I got my feet wet as a cast member in Peter Pan, Bye Bye Birdie and Music Man, but I love NOTEable Singers even more! My favorite hobbies are golfing, making gourmet food. I like the challenge of learning new music and sharing my love of music with others. The group is committed and shares the same love. I admire the talented women in the group and their dedication.
Sharon - Soprano
Sharon - Soprano: I’m happy to be joining the Noteable Singers! Everyone in the group is so kind and talented. I’ve always loved singing and dancing, and I was in choir, band, and musicals growing up. In my free time, I enjoy hiking, reading, writing, and connecting with friends and family.

Mezzos

Brenda - Mezzo
Brenda - Mezzo: I am so excited to sing and dance with NOTEable Singers for my second season! I have been singing in choirs since middle school but took a few years off after college. Most recently I have been singing with the General Mills Corporate Choir and Twin Cities Beer Choir, plus I performed in a local production of The Hunchback of Notre Dame in Excelsior right before the pandemic. I have so much fun making music and busting out some sweet moves with these wonderful women!
Mary - Mezzo
Mary - Mezzo Soprano: I've been around music all my life -- my grandparents and great-aunt and uncle sang barbershop quartet, so family holidays were full of piano, banjo and ukulele renditions of old songs. I started playing ukulele in kindergarten; was in school choirs as soon as I was old enough; got my first guitar at age 10; played and sang in various church and school groups all through high school and college. When another show choir mom invited me to join NOTEables, I jumped in and have had a great time for 11 seasons.
Meg - Mezzo
Meg Lehmann – Mezzo: Meg is working on finishing two bachelor degrees this coming spring and hopes to change careers once those are complete. Meg enjoys reading (almost any genre, preferably with a physical book but digital books will do the trick too), singing, and catching up with family and friends. Meg loves her NOTEable ladies and enjoys the chance to make friends with so many different amazing women. But really, Meg is mostly the snack person for two tiny humans who don't take no for an answer.
Jennifer (Jake) - Mezzo
Jennifer (Jake) - Mezzo: I grew up in Bloomington and graduated from Kennedy High School. Monday thru Friday I work as a Human Resources Director. During my spare time i enjoy spending with my 2 grandchildren and I am a volunteer/Board Member of an organization the trains service dogs.
Jen - Mezzo
Jen - Mezzo: Jennifer joined NOTEable Singers in 2013 and was so happy to find a group where she could sing and dance every week. When she is not singing and dancing, Jennifer is spending time with her family or caring for animals as a shelter veterinarian. She also enjoys reading, knitting, hiking, and spending time at coffee shops.
Faye - Mezzo
Faye - Mezzo: Faye recently retired as a statistician with the Federal Government and is looking forward to spending more time with her family.
Jenny - Mezzo
Jenny - Mezzo: Jenny is a native of northern Minnesota but has lived in the Twin Cities area for over 40 years. She has worked in the education industry as a financial person for most of her career and currently is employed at the Dept. of Education. Jenny enjoys singing very much and has participated in local choirs throughout her life. She currently resides in Eagan, MN with her orange tabby cat, Waldo. Jenny’s other hobbies are bowling on a local bowling league one night a week and spending time outdoors with friends. She is looking forward to being a part of the NOTEable Singers.
Vicki – Mezzo
Vicki – Mezzo: I am very excited to be joining the NOTEables for my first season. I have been singing in choirs since elementary school when I started in Angelica Cantanti. I continued singing throughout my school years which included the JB Singers at Kennedy High School. I work as an Accountant in the private sector after spending much of my career in the non-profit sector. Besides singing I love animals, camping, crafting, and spending time with family and friends.
Carolyn - Mezzo
Carolyn - Mezzo: Carolyn is enjoying getting back to singing in a choir with the energetic and supportive ladies of the NOTEables! She has sung in several choirs throughout high school and college, and in various church groups. She taught middle school science for many years at a classical charter school in Minnetonka. Currently she is living her best life as the school's librarian! She enjoys cooking/baking, creative projects, spending time with friends and family, and has recently picked up ukulele. Her husband and three children are her greatest joy!

Altos

Hannah - Alto
Hannah - Alto: I'm really into animals! In my free time, I like to draw, play the piano, and go to concerts. I love to sing and dance with the NOTEable singers! I always look forward to seeing these epic ladies every week!
Annette - Alto
Annette - Alto: I was in Choir in Junior High and until I joined NOTEable singers, I wasn't in any other choir. I played the violin in Orchestra through High School and some in College. My niece is a member of NOTEable singers and she invited me to join and so I did in 2014-15 season. I love it. I never imagined being in a show choir and I enjoy it thoroughly.
Karen - Alto
Karen - Alto: I am excited to be singing with this talented and lovely group of ladies. I sang in high school choirs and more recently in small group church choirs. I love to sing the harmony along with the radio, sometimes inventing my own. I enjoy listening to all types of music, watching theater, visiting museums and parks, appreciating nature and reading. When not working I usually have multiple gardening, crafting or home decorating projects to spend time on.
Judy - Alto
Judy - Alto: This is my fourth year with the NOTEables. It is a delight to sing with such a talented, enthusiastic and joyful group of women! Music has always been a huge part of my life. I've been singing in church and school choirs since pre-school and currently sing with the Oratorio Society of Minnesota as well as the contemporary and traditional choirs at Redemption Lutheran Church here in Bloomington. I enjoy reading, baking, walking and attending as many concerts, plays and musicals here in the Twin Cities, as possible! Our precious granddaughter, Mila Rose, will soon be four! Everything you have ever heard about having grandchildren is true…plus, there are sprinkles!!! We enjoy every single minute with her!!!
Lori - Alto
Lori – Alto: I was born and raised in beautiful Bloomington and am thrilled to be singing with my NOTEable Singers “Sisters” and cherish the friendships we share! I have been with this fabulous choir for 12 years and thrilled to watch it grow under new energetic leadership! For the past few seasons I have been instrumental in setting the stage and writing the script for each of our performances. I am also an actress involved community theatre productions, most recently with Eagan Theatre Company in The Complete Works of William Shakespeare Abridged. In my spare time I like to read (anything from James Patterson or Jodi Picoult), take long walks and hang out with family and friends!
Jani - Alto
Jani – Alto: 1. I make my bed EVERY morning. 2. I like getting up on the roof to clean my gutters and get a birds-eye view of the neighborhood. 3. I have a terrible memory. 4. I love thunderstorms, cats, sewing and crafts, tap dancing, singing, whistling, and my adorable grandchildren. 5. I usually stay up too late at night. 6. I love watching viral videos (I usually do numbers 5 and 6 together). 7. I have my Permit to Carry. 8. I am a member of Blue Man Group (who can prove I’m NOT?!?) 9. I am a compulsive list maker (so this is fun for me). 10. I often play my harmonica while waiting at stoplights. 11. I have a terrible memory.
Sarah - Alto
Sarah - Alto: I spend my days evaluating state-run government programs and the rest of my time hanging out with my wonderful husband and our two adorable kiddos. I am--perhaps literally--the most organized person you will ever meet. I love Zumba, yoga, soccer, reading, the outdoors and--of course--music. Singing and dancing with the lovely ladies of the NOTEable Singers always brightens my day.
Emily - Alto
Emily - Alto: Emily is new to the NOTEable Singers and is excited to be a part of this fabulous group of women! She is an alto and enjoys singing but also loves dancing. She also plays the piano and the flute. Besides music, she enjoys biking, rock climbing, and spending time with friends and family.
Renee - Alto
Renee - Alto: I’m excited for my first year with the NOTEable Singers. Singing and dancing has always been something I truly enjoy and now after 20+ plus years I’m excited to be back at it!! Besides working in the events and marketing field, I am a mom to two amazing teenage daughters.
Kenzie - Alto
Kenzie - Alto: Howdy! I’m a 27-year-old Android software engineer at Target HQ living in Bloomington with my boyfriend and 3 kitties! Born and raised in Montevideo, MN, growing up I was always passionate about music, art, and science! I partook in many choral, music, and theater events throughout my education as well as academic clubs such as math league, speech, and knowledge bowl, carrying those passions with me to college! I went to the College of Saint Benedict where I started off as a physics major, then switched to Computer Science near the end of my second year. Between classes and my jobs of being a music librarian and a teacher’s assistant for Computer Science, I participated in a women’s choir all 4 years of college and it was a great source of support and happiness for me throughout the twists and turns of schooling! I graduated in 2017 with a Bachelor’s in Computer Science and started working for Target HQ a few months later, which is where I have been since college! Between college and starting my career, I was a farmhand at a veggie farm, which if there was a job I could do for the rest of my days without worrying about money and looming debts, it would be that (tied with being an elementary school teacher!) During my free time, I am often found playing with my hair and makeup, playing retro video games, surveying the night sky for meteor showers and auroras, identifying birds and bugs, trying new beers at various craft breweries, hanging with friends, and cuddling with my cats!

Sonia - Mezzo
Sonia - mezzo: As someone who loves to sing & dance, this group gives me an outlet to do that, and with an awesome fun talented group of beautiful ladies at that! Growing up, music was part of my life one way or another. I have sung in church choirs in the past, so this is something different & certainly fun, so back for my 3rd season now. Other things that take up my time & which I enjoy doing, include gardening & my various bible study groups (& my family would be quick to add - FB □)
Shimin - Soprano
Shimin - Soprano: 2020-2021 sees my 4th season with the NOTEable Singers. Although we were distantly-operated since March of 2020, it did not discount at all the experience thanks to the talented and creative music directors and the singers! Every week’s practice is such an amazing treat, which is truly a testimony of the power of music. I am also thrilled that my friend Bibi joined NOTEable this season! In my NOTEable experience, I love singing to the audiences in local senior homes. Although we can’t do this in person this season, I am extremely excited that our music can be digitally delivered to local senior homes as well as to families and friends and anyone who enjoys music from anywhere this can reach. I hope you enjoy our music and the power it brings!
Cati - Alto
Cati - Alto: I joined the choir during the pandemic. I needed a creative outlet. I need a reason to move my body. I needed time away from my 3 young kids, even just a few hours once a week, singing in the basement. I have always loved singing with people, but this year it became a necessity. Now that I'm here, I love it, and I don't know why I never thought about joining a choir before! The camaraderie among the NOTEable singers is amazing, even on a google meet, and I'm hooked. When I'm not singing, I enjoy gardening, hiking, playing board games, lots of different crafts, and reading.
Daralee - Mezzo
Daralee - Mezzo: Daralee has lived all over the United States, but she was raised in Southern California and is still a California girl at heart. As a child, she used to get in trouble for talking in school; so, it is fitting that she is a speech language pathologist as an adult. She enjoys her work, spending time with her husband, adult children, grandchildren, two big dogs and her old, grumpy Siamese cat. Daralee loves to sing songs with harmonies, so singing with Noteable Singers is a perfect fit for her.
Autumn - Mezzo
Autumn - Mezzo: I love singing and am very excited to sing with these ladies this season. I love going on adventures and playing outside. Kayaking and hiking with my pup are some of my favorites. I love playing in waterfalls, reading books, doing yoga and spending time with my family.
